Photoshoot Planning

Photoshoot Planning

Now I will be planning the photoshoot for my magazine. I have never really done this process for any other class, or any other occasion for that matter. I searched up "How to prepare for a photoshoot", and I came across a website that i found fit to guide me through the process.
                         https://photographylife.com/how-to-plan-a-photo-shoot

Ever since my teacher began explaining to the class that we would have to make our own magazines at the beginning of the year, I would begin to jot down ideas in the "Notes" application on my phone. I knew the theme of my magazine would be centered on a healthy and natural lifestyle, so I went on to

For my equipment I have borrowed my friends iPhone X because of its superior camera quality. When contemplating the location of my photoshoot, I realized it would be better to do it on day when the sky is clear, so the natural sunlight can provide lighting in all of my pictures. This emphasizes the idea of simplicity and authenticity that I am aiming for. I have also come to the conclusion that i cannot have all of my photoshoots take place in the same place because of the variety of content in the articles, therefore I will be moving locations.

For the dental herbalism article, I can have it take place in the dentist office in the building my mother works in. I will ask the owner permission to take a few shots of some beneficial herbs mixed with some aspects of dentistry, such as their tools or signs. These shoots may have to be taken on seperate days.

Another element to consider is my models. Since I will be shooting the pictures to my specific liking, I will focus more on the plants and places rather than including people in the images. My crew will include of my best friend, Jonathan, which will help me when it comes to the camera as my equipment.

When it comes to wardrobe, hairstyling and make-up, I won't have to deal with since I wont be including models in my pictures.

Post processing is the editing process afterwards I have a range of collective shots from my photos. I am working for myself so I have the freedom to photoshop and learn specific skills that appeal to me and the look I am shooting for. I will take my photoshoot and update on how the process goes!
